I have just bought a motorola xts 3000 and i need info on fairfax county to program it. To program it they are saying that i need a system, control channel, individual Id, and talk groups to do that. If any one knows that info or knows where i could get that info that would be great. The info i need is not on radio reference i have already checked. Please if any one could help that would be great. THNAKS

Unless you have written permission from the radio system administrator, you will need to understand how important it will be to prevent that radio from transmitting. Most system administrators get real upset when they see an unauthorized radio show up on a trunking system. It can get you in some real hot water and even end up in jail for a period of years.

If you have the radio system administartors permission, he will be able to get your radio programmed for you. However my gut feeling is this is not the case here. You would be much better off just using a scanner if all you want to do is listen to the trunking system. It would also be cheaper.
