Could a mega-tsunami hit Delaware? A group of amateur radio operators wants to be ready, just in case.
Amateur radio operator Walter Palmer says a fake 9 point 8 magnitude earthquake off Puerto Rico this Saturday will trigger the simulated tsunami.
Palmer told WDEL's Delaware's News at Noon in a disaster scenario, part of his job and that of other amateur, or ham radio operators is to establish and maintain communication with government agencies like DEMA and FEMA to help get aid to wherever it's needed.
