I agree with Bruce on this one. The Colorado form is the top state form on RR, so we must be doing something right.
And I agree with you. It may be because this forum has the most involved, interested and knowledgeable participants.
Considering some of the real crap I see on other sections of this website, it's amazing that Lou the almighty says the folks here are uncivil.

It is amazing...really. I asked a specific member a casual question. I did not ask for general comments from the other readers. When (and if) he ever sees the question, he will know why I asked it. Only one other person in this thread knows why I asked that question of that particular member; so unless you can answer for him, don't bother to comment further on my question.

Top in what way? Certainly not in civility. :(

Maybe you should stay over in the Texas forum??, that would solve all of the problems that you guys complain about. We already have a mod that is in the state.

What I mean Sir is that we have the most posts of any other state form. By posting things first in the form, before sending them in to you all, is so we can have as accurate database as possible. We are a very lucky form to have many people here that work with the different systems around the state, and we are lucky enough to have them chime in from time to time to our questions. I can understand that it might look dumb for us to post new information in the form before it being submitted. Again all we are doing is trying to make the information as accurate as can be, and maybe make is easier on the database mods. Instead of going in numerous times to change database information, if it is discussed in an open form first, then the errors will be fixed before they are submitted. I hope that that gives you an idea if at the very leased where I think we are coming from.

Seconded. Perhaps prefacing a post containing unverified freq info with a request for another opinion about its accuracy before submitting to the DB will separate that type of post from an out and out submission of data.

I keep my own database, so PLEASE keep posting DTRS site info to the Forum. That's where I pick it up from. And the ProCom 96 files are great because they are very believable and in a nice format.

You're amazed that you post something in public and others comment? Perhaps next time click on the user name and in the drop down box that follows, select "send a private message" if you don't want people to comment.

I had higher expectations than that for you, Lou.

Top in what way? Certainly not in civility. :(

...and your contribution to civility in this forum is...

I was going to post something on this a while back, but decided to keep out of it. Now I just can't. The reason I'm not around much anymore is due to the 'loumaag' types on the site. Seeing how high you can get your post count should not be a priority. Also, closing a thread due to a personal power trip should not be a priority. I do READ the Colorado forum daily, and know that we have a super group of people here.
