A fast-moving storm hammered Parkersburg just before 2:30pm this afternoon. Parkersburg mayor Bob Newell has asked that people who don't absolutely need to be on the roads to stay home. Just heard on the scanner that FirstEnergy has at least 27,000 reports of power out across its service territory. Here's a link that will be continually updated:
