Uniden scanners display incorrect information for DT3 systems. I have issues with the Ballantrae system display. It shows Net 12 Site 17 on the scanner.
You also have to calculate the proper Channel ID for 205 for the other frequency listed. It should actually be entered as Channel ID 102 in your scanner.
I have been told to list all DT3 information in DSD+ format for Channel ID's and Sites in the database. We need a Channel ID for Woodstock's control channel for the database.

So if I use Sentinel to add the system to my 436HP will I need to modify something to monitor it properly? I have the two frequencies installed and in the same order.

Make a Favourite List with FastNet in it. Modify the CH ID from 205 to 102 on 422.5625. Run LCN Finder for the control channel which is currently listed as 0 (zero) then you will have the CH ID's you need.

Has anyone been able to monitor this system? I have it programmed on my 436HP. Any help would be appreciated. I don't seem to hear much traffic off the Woodstock tower.

East Garafraxa, Ballantrae and Toronto are received by me. The only talkgroups I hear with any regularity is the G-Town Taxi.

Other times it's some identified users (not radio techs) checking out coverage by driving around town, up and down hills, going into buildings and being impressed with their radio reception.

Yes, otherwise you will just see some signal bars and DT3 flashing and not hear a thing. Alternatively, since there are only two frequencies, enter them as DMR One Frequency and see if you hear anything. At least you will know if they are active.

I did that with Toronto Works and Air Canada when I first saw them come on-line.

Received the following on my SDR the TG 5046384 SL 1 with RID's 5047518 [Scale] and 5047485 [31]. Otherwise a very quiet tower in Woodstock.

I've been running DSD+ on the system for the past few days and I found a few unlisted frequencies. I'm not sure if this will help with the LCN or not:

Ch. TX Frequency
103 422.3500
104 422.3500
143 422.4625 CC
144 422.4625

I'm not sure why the frequencies are listed twice.

Great work. The scanner just needs the first Channel ID.

So, in your Uniden scanner enter the LCN as:
  • 51 for 422.3500
  • 71 for 422.4625
Hope this works. Let us know. :)
