Fatal Accident Rt17/Franklin Turnpike Ramsey?

Does anyone have info about a major accident last night on Route 17 North in Ramsey.

County Prosecutor Fatal Accident Investigation Unit and County Sheriff CSU was on scene with a very badly damaged car. There also appeared to be a body put into a white van.

Any info?

Two County Prosecutor Fatal Accident Units and a BCSO crime scene unit were there.
It looked they were putting a body into an unmarked white van from a Ramsey Ambulance

How does this not make the news?

I was monitoring BCPD that night but heard nothing, if I find any news I'll post it.

I heard this call. Yes it was a fatal accident. Ramsey FD was dispatched and Ramsey Rescue for a rollover involving a pickup truck with heavy entrapment. Upon arrival Ramsey Rescue did an excellent job of extricating both patients in a quick manner for the conditions they were faced with. Medivac/Northstar was dispatched to land at Don Bosco School for an LZ but were later canceled due to having a 20 minute ETA. The passenger was taken by ground with a police escort to HUMC, the driver of the vehicle sadly died at the scene. The unmarked van you saw was most likely the BC medical examiners van.

What frequency is Medivac/Northstar dispatched for Bergen County? Is it 155.2950 or the trunking tg they use?

That is sad news but thanks for the response. I can't believe someone is killed and no media even bats an eye.

Was this a DUI?

There was a blurb in todays Sunday Record... not much more info than I stated. Unknown if it was a DUI no one stated it as such. It appeared to be a single car accident. As for northstar I do not hear them on 155.2950, The NJSP Medivac talkgroup has lots of traffic so that is the best place to listen.
