How could anyone hit a child then drive away....how sad.

That all happened just west of the F.H. P.D. There are always kids playing around that area, there is a park as well as Water World in the area.

FEDERAL HEIGHTS - A 3-year-old boy died after being hit by an SUV during a hit and run Thursday night near the intersection of 90th and Clay.

Federal Heights Police say the red GMC Yukon with California plates was going east on 90th and turned north on Clay when it hit the child at around 6:45 p.m.

The driver went another half block before stopping and then running from the SUV on foot, according to police.

A search is now underway for the driver.

The child was taken to the Children's Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

When apprehended, perpetrator should be subjected to the same thing inflicted upon the child, but three times instead of only once.

Each parent gets one turn, then the arresting LEO gets the third one.
