Does anybody know where a fatal accident occurred in Denver somewhere just after midnight this morning. I was at PSL when they flew in the victim, who died. I was curious where the accident was because PSL isn't a trauma center as far as I know so I wondered why they would come to PSL instead of one of the area trauma centers, although without getting into details the victim was basically DOA. Which brings me to another question: Which metro hospitals have the capability of landing the medical helicopters (or conversely which don't if the list is shorter).

Not sure about the accident, but I think most area hospitals have a helipad, heck even PVMC in Brighton has a helipad. These are mostly for transporting OUT to hospitals that are better equipped to handle different types of medical problems (i.e. trauma).

If I remember correctly (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong! :) ) DGH, SAC and Swedish are the only level 1 trauma centers in the metro area. I would suspect the helicopter transported to PSL for a different reason, possibly for the hyperbaric chamber? That's the only specialized service they offer there (again IIRC).
