Metra NC107 just hit and fatally struck what a crew member on the radio said was a trespasser. I was listening to Metra's MD-W line when I heard "Emergency, Emergency, Emergency" and then heard a crew member say they had hit someone who was described as a trespasser. A crew member was then heard saying it's a fatality, and upon switching to Starcom-21, I heard Metra PD say it is indeed a fatality on Main-1 at Galewood. Metra PD stated it's close to or around the area of the shelter at Galewood. Investigation currently underway. Metra PD has requested the County M.E. and clean-up. Metra traffic on the MD-W frequency says all trains are being held at Hanson Park.
