Fauquier County Fire/Rescue is now running an analog simulcast of dispatch on two frequencies: 494.4375 and 460.4500. I'm assuming 494.4375 will eventually be phased out, with the move away from UHF-T frequencies. Both frequencies seem to have the same signal strength from Fredericksburg, although 460.4500 sounds a bit better, because the audio isn't clipped, as sometimes happens on 494.4375.

Did something change this afternoon? My scanner is not picking up anything. I've heard sirens, but nothing coming over my scanner (it's about 6 years old and I haven't ever done anything to it) Uniden BCD536HP

This thread was about the analog fire/rescue dispatch simulcast. Let's please move discussion about the P25 system to this existing thread:

Thanks,
