I am having a tough time figuring this out.

OK, I know that in order to use the Favorite QK, the favorite must be turned on in the 'select lists to monitor'. I have the Favorite QK's working for #'s 1-9. I press the Favorite QK # i want, hit YES and either turn it on or off. But how do you enable the 2 digit QK's?(10-99)
On the 996P2, I just hit NO and enter the 2 numbers to turn the favorite on and off.
How do you do that on the 536?

Thanks, but sometimes that works, and sometimes it doesn't. If I have my Favorite OK 12, and I shut if off, It is still in the scan list, and I still hear transmissions.
This is so confusing.

Hmm... That's the way to turn a Fav list on and off...
Or are you trying to turn a Dept in the Fav list off?

If it was me... I would in Sentenal go to edit Favorite lists and look between one of your
lists that work correctly and your 10,11,12 and see if you mist something in setting it.
Look under the tabs too.

Sentinel will allow you to assign the same quick key to multiple favorites lists. If you Write to Scanner, the scanner will accept the first favorites list with that quick key and then strip the quick keys from subsequent favorites lists and change the quick keys to none. The same will happen if you send a favorites list to the scanner and a favorites list already in the scanner has the same quick key. A favorites list with the quick key set to none cannot be turned off. Double check that you do not have a quick key of 12 on any other favorites list. The scanner will not permit you to enter the same quick key on multiple favorites lists if you try to do it manually using the menu.

While it sounds like you have figured it out, there is another possibility. You could have the Favorites List in the scanner from another programming session, only that one does not have a Favorites List Quick Key Assigned.

That's why it's almost always best to check the "Erase Favorites List on Scanner" box whenever you do a write to scanner operation. That "wipes the slate clean" and loads everything fresh and reduces duplicate potential.

In Sentinel, I take advantage of being able to use the same quick key on multiple favorites lists. I duplicate favorites lists several times and change the names according to county or city. When programming scanners for firefighters, I am able to arrange the favorites lists to make the order more convenient to use for each jurisdiction. I use the same quick keys starting at 0 for each set of favorites lists. By having a profile for each jurisdiction, only the favorites lists for that jurisdiction are written to the scanner and each favorites list quick key is used only once. I have about 70 favorites lists in a different order for each jurisdiction. The local jurisdiction always starts at quick key 0 so that only single digit quick keys are needed for that location.
