Well, winter is over...no more snowplows to listen to for the next few months!
Thought I'd list a few of my favorite spring/summer/fall frequencies to listen to....and maybe you can share yours also!
159.240 DNR. Although most DNR activity is trunked now, if you live near a state park, 159.240 is still used heavily by state park properties for campground management and more. It makes for some interesting listening!
123.450 is aviation chit chat. I hear it used quite a bit more in the summer as planes start flying to airshows, etc etc. I'll also occasionally hear ultralights/powered parachutes on this frequency.
All the small airport unicom freqs..122.700, 750, 800, etc. Yesterday (4/2/10) there was quite a bit of skydiving activity on 122.700 but I'm not sure where it was coming from.
And, if you're close to a larger body of water, all the marine freqs, especially channel 16.
Anyone else?
