What would be a proper way to maintain all my different "subjects" so to say but not have MARCS-IP in many times?

First rule is whatever helps you to operate your scanner with the least confusion, is the way to go.

If you are saying you have 33 Favorites Lists and MARCS IP is duplicated/replicated in multiple Favorites Lists, efficiency gains can be realized if you had MARCS-IP in its own list. For every instance of MARCS-IP, you are adding at least 2 seconds to the cycle time - more depending on the number of sites involved in MARCS-IP,

That said, you may have a method to your madness. There might be things of great interest to you on MARCS-IP, as in the kind of things you would have set as Priority Frequencies in non-trunked days. Having multiple instances of MARCS-IP gets you to scanning these much sooner, almost/kind of/sort of like priority scanning (interrupting normal scanning to check something special).

You also have a MARCS-IP for CPD and one for CFD. It would be better to have just one and separate CPD and CFD into their own departments, each department having its own department quick key. Then you could toggle department quick keys depending on listening desires. The scenario you might have is this: When the scanner is on CPD though there are no transmission, it would ignore CFD who might be talking. After CPD is done, the scanner moves on to CFD, but the CFD transmission is done.

You may also have the same deal with the OSP version of MARCS-IP. Being unfamiliar with the system, its possible that OSP uses different towers/sites than CFD and CPD. If that was the case, I'd add OSP as a Department giving it it's own Department quick key, like 99. Then I'd give each OSP site a Quick Key of 99 (same as OSP). That way, I'd turn on the OSP sites when I turned on the OSP talkgroups.

Thank you for the info; like times it eats up:
(And I guess I did not think about sites)!

A note I should have put in:

I Rarely listen to CPD and CFD at the same time. (But may do so now and then as I get more into this super Scanner)!
The same goes for other systems I listen to on MARCS-IP mostly one at a time.

Now and Then I do Listen to CPD and ODNR that are both on MARCS-IP

I may leave some as multi copies of MARCS-IP especially ones I only listen to just that one service - still re thinking all this!

I NEVER listen to all 33 at one time - or even close to it - I just have a lot of different things I want to see what is on "out there"

Lol. I have one Favorites list, and use the GPS to select what channels / systems to hear. I do edit the channel / TG names and other details, which is why I need the list.

Yes, but I don't have to switch between or on / off Favorites lists. The GPS finds the in-range traffic in any of the systems in the list that are not locked out. All I have to do is turn the radio on, and never touch it again - except to hold or avoid something.

I could see why someone would still want to turn things on/off as opposed to just "GPSing". For example, they may not want to listen to a given police agency, but do want to listen to a given fire agency.

I got 4 scanners, one of which is in the car. I like having all my Favorites Lists programmed the same way because I'm old and have trouble remembering more than a couple of things. With that said, I cannot remember the first thing I have forgotten.

I don't like GPS determining what I am listening too, whether driving or not. I like to organize by State,County,City or similar. I typically want to hear a county "1 hour ahead" of me and turn off the counties behind me. Adjacent counties are optional. Here's an example. Sorry I can't seem to resize the table.
