ProScan: Favorites List - how to set a system (or department) to be scanned ?

I cannot seem to figure out what to set to make a system be scanned after I send All my favorites lists to the SDS200.
I know how to do it on the scanner but there must be some check box to set to make the scanner have some favorites enabled and others not.

When I go to Write to Scanner it asks Turn On Service Types in selected favorites - Turn on favorites list quick keys in selected favorites - Turn on all System Dept & Site quick Keys

I guess I am lost about what these mean!

Example I have a Favorite List Civil Air i usually have off and MARCS for my area usually on

If I recall correctly if Monitor is off in the ProScan Favorites lists you cannot just turn in on by the quick settings

These options helps prevent the nothing to scan scenario.

Turn On Service Types Used In The Selected Favorites
I would keep this checked so you will receive all the channels programmed. Just in case a service type is turned off in the scanner.

If using FL Quick Keys then I would check this box otherwise it doesn't matter.

Turn On All System, Dept., && Site Quick Keys In The Scanner
If using System, Site, Department Quick Keys then I would check this box otherwise it doesn't matter.

I usually edit favorites now and then and then I send to the SDS200
Then send all to the scanner

But I have apx 29 Favorite (FQK's) "lists' and only have a few set to be scanned - the rest I will manually set if I want to listen to them.

I do use some System - site and dept QK's also and then I select the ones in the area for checking which QK'snto use

In that case I would uncheck the FL Quick Keys box and the System/Dept./ Site Quick Keys box.

My First Favorite MARCS-IP is not active when I send it and leave both un checked

See attached maybe I am missing something?

More info The FQK for MARCs is ON so I must have something else off?

OK The System QK was off on the SDS200.

Now just need to find out how to turn it on in ProScan

Then send all to the scanner

Always read the scanner into Sentinel or Proscan proir to making any edits or adding anything to the scanner. It will preserve the scanners state. Meaning it will know and remember what favorites lists are on, what freqs are avoided and what service types are enabled.

OK The System QK was off on the SDS200.

Now just need to find out how to turn it on in ProScan

Click on the Favorite node containing the system then on the right side, go to the System Quick Key Status tab and check the box.
You might also want to go to the system then check the Dept./Site Quick Key Status tab

I see Monitor is on so that's good. I see you're using Location Control. I don't use that but I believe you want to check the departments and sites location tab and check the Range option.

It seems like I did not use that before.

I had a SDS200 a while ago but had to sell it for funds - ANd now that a bit better purchased one!

One thing - you do not need the mobile MARCS sites on. Very rarely used - mainly for large events.
