Good Evening Everyone --

I was looking through several systems and the Fayetteville TRS caught my eye. I see that this information is old and stale (No updates in over a year). I started to do some research and was unable to ascertain any active licences for this system. Does anyone here object to deleting this system? If so, I need some sort of confirmation that this is an active system (Licencee info, etc). Please let me know ASAP so that I can update or nuke as required!

Thanks...

Robbyboy,

I tried to look up some of the freqs. in the FCC db. I only looked up 2-3 and got 50+ pages on one and 70+ on another. I looked through all the pages on the lower one and not one listing for anybody but Nextel. As I get time, I'll try to search some more. My guess is Nextel bought out the system and phased the freqs. to their iDEN setup.

That is my thinking as well. If that is the case, we will no longer be able to monitor using conventional means. I got one PM reference this, but given the age and the fact that nobody has mentioned it in so long, I am still thinking of scrapping it.

Cheers

How about a note at the top of the listing stating that it's info is suspect. I'd hate to info scrapped just because it's not 100%. As long as it's stated that it can't be gaurenteed, it should be kept.

If the information is not confirmed, it should not be included. Granted, it was probabally valid information on initial reporting, now that it appears that NEXTEL took over these licences, I think it would be best to have this information removed.
  • No licences included in site information
  • No updates for a significant amount of time
Now if someone can assoicate something to this system, I would be glad to keep it up. But it must be valid current information.

Keep in mind, I have not deleted it yet, but I would really like to :p

How about an area where the unconfirmed systems can be sent to? Sorta like a penalty box in hockey? :)

Hey Robby i did a post about this some time back. I know the Warsaw and Kinston freqs are not right. I have tried them and there is no CTL for either system. There was a SMR syste, in Duplin at one time. Several of the Corp owned farms used it.
