FCC Frequency Info

Chaska PD has a license for KQ5886 and the frequency listed is 010525.0000
What is this freqency - not part of my scanner capabilites - does it mean something else?

That is the old X-Band police radar frequency of 10525 MHz used for speed enforcement. You would need a radar detector for that frequency as there is no scanner I know that goes that high. Besides, there is no voice used, only very rapid pulses.

it is probably a microwave relay if you look in the FCC data base for that lic it should list as a MW and give you the paths where from or too. This is common lots of countys use a MW link to transmit and recieve radio transmissions from remote transmitting points/towers back to the dispatching center
