The FCC is asking congress for 1.1 million to buy 12 and update existing Mobile Digital Direction Finding vehicles for FY07. Ultimatley the FCC plans to buy 76 of the vehicles operated by the Sectrum Enforcement Division.

I'm glad to hear that. There's allot of "junk" on the airwaves. With people getting radios programmed to talk to the police and and rampant unlicensed GMRS use, someone's going to get it!!

At least I can dream?

I could do a lot with 1.1 million to upgrade my vehicle with all sorts of cool toys, heck I could even buy a new vehicle!!!

I’m gonna submit my request to Congress also...

I can dream too. ;)

Don't hold your breath on the GMRS outlaws, they will get low priority. The Public Safety jammers will get the priority (as they should). The repeater GMRS jammers will fall somewhere down below TVI and broadcast pirates. The regular bubble pack unlicensed users are too numerous to deal with (like illegal alliens).
