Do police have access to the whole Emergency group on the fire radios?

Must have been noise on the control channel confusing the scanner; PD does not have those talkgroups.

I didnt think so but I heard it on both my scanner and mts 2000 radio.

Police - Fire - EMERGENCY.....

From what I've been told and actually OBSERVED, almost ANY agency can have any OTHER agency's TG's put in their radios. All the MARCS programmers need is a letter of agreement from the involved agencies. We have the hospital, EMA and the Health Department TG's (hailing, call channels etc) in our SHERIFF Marcs radio at our office. So, I think it is possible that you DID hear what you thought you did. Don't mean it was RIGHT, but, you probably DID hear it !!!! Steve

Thanks steve. I just thought it was weird since that whole bank on the radios is an emergency fireground channel and that police are on it. Most of the FCCA radios I have seev are usually progmared the same
