Has anyone attempted to listen to the Federal Correctional Institute system in Memphis? I checked all the freqs in the database and couldn't locate a CC. I swept the band and found 408.250. Same System ID as listed in the DB. No traffic so far. Any ideas about this system?????????

Listening to it as a UHF system vs. P25 with 396T. If I don't hear anything soon, I will try it as a P25 system.

Gatorman,

The FCI in Cumberland, Md went digital and looks like a splinter UHF trunk. They are using the same control channel, 408.250, system ID is correct also but I cannot get it to track the splinter voice channels.

I have tried about everything I can think of this morning with this system but can't hear a thing. I do get TG IDs if I hold the radio on the CC but they won't track. Also getting TWO CCs with same SID. What the heck is that?????????

Thanks for the reply.

2 sid's are not uncommon in trunking, the radios will respond to the channel they hear and can decode best. Read up on UHF trunking, I am doing the same, the channels do not follow the normal scan sequence, you said you were in Memphis?. Put all of the active channels lised here for the FCI in a bank and see if it will scan.
