Does anyone know what channel/freq. They are on? Thanks in advance!

FCPS school security

FCPS Security are on the County Radio Public Safety Trunked System. #21392 is school security main and 21408 is tac. Their radio's can come up on the police tralkgroups as well.
And if you mean within the school, I have an old book from about 95 that lists all the frequencies that they're "licensed" for. They essentially are the "old" business band frequencies. There were also some listed for individual schools but they were mostly incorrect, mine was listed as a UHF freq.
The administrators/security folks/whatever used 151.805MHz at my school (Langley High School in McLean). They were either PL'ed or DPL'ed but I never got a chance to figure it out and they used Motorola HT1000's. Pop in a bunch of freqs in a scanner and just run through them during lunch hour at school or sometime when you'd expect there to be a lot of radio traffic. That's how I found out what mine were using some 6 years ago.

I took school security to mean the uniformed people who patrol via vehicles all the schools throughout Fairfax County. The interior "security aides" non uniformed people who work at the schools as an assist to the vice-principal and all do use business band or gmrs radio's. Those are two different things and not connected.

Fairfax County School Security is part of the Fairfax County Public Safety Trunk System as someone said earlier. Program in those 2 tg's and you will hear them everyday when they are active, There is no other frequencies they use.

The frequencies listed are the ones I would check first. It is begining to read like you have a specific school in mind. If you tell me the school I may be able to tell you the specific frequency.
