My scanning buddy and I have been trying, for the last few months, to figure out the frequencies used for the two jail units in Faulkner County.
When we toured the facilities, they said they had a unit 1 (downtown jail) channel, a unit 2 (south german ln.) channel, and then one jail common channel that was repeated.
The jail itself is not on AWIN, and I've programmed every freq from the FCC database that is registered to Faulkner county, and still got nothing.
Well today, my buddy (a bail bondsman) was at the unit 2 jail and decided to try signal stalker on his PRO-433 ... lo and behold, 469.550 keyed up, talking about jail topics.
The problem is, 469.550 is not licensed to FCSO, or even anything related. Is it possible that it's so low wattage that it doesn't matter?
Surely the Faulkner County Sheriff's office is not pirating a frequency...
