For anyone who might be interested Rocky Flats FD will close the end of June and Cherryvale FPD along with AMR (yes not Pridemark) will handle fire and ems calls at the flats until appox 01/01/06 when the land is transferred to the Division of Wildlife.

No Rocky Flats currently has there own fire dept staffed 24/7 with FF's and Paramedics.

West Metro stops south of I-70, but Fairmont, North Metro, Westy, Arvada and Coal Creek do provide the coverage to the surrounding areas.

That's odd that they chose Cherryvale being that it isn't connected with it. Does anybody know why? I remember articles in the papers a while back saying Arvada didn't want to deal with the liability and hazards of working there, but that Coal Creek was looking into it to get the equipment from Coal Creek.
