Jackson Fire Department just recieved 8 new Units... including Heavy Rescue, Pumpers, Utilities, and Ladder Trucks at a cost of 2.2 million dollars.... FDJ is rated at a 3 right now with hopes of making ISO 2 by next spring,.... They also paln on acquirring two more new units and equipment over the next two months in an effort to modernize and upgrade thier services. Ambulance service is still being supplied by AMR,.. and FDJ does not plan to reestablish thier own ambulance service anytime soon. FDJ will be putting thier older Units on auction in the near future,.. so anyone that is involved in a VFD and in need of equipment be ready.
