FDNY A14/B14 Using Apco25

I heard a P25 Conversation on A14/B14 today saying "All Units Switch to Channel 1"

I am new so this wasnt listed in the database

If you are talking channel 14 on their handhelds, 460.575. That frequency is listed as Fire/Administration in P25 mode of Westport, CT, that might be what you were hearing.

speaking of p25 and fdny.has anyone heard about this new uhf system?? Is it going live soon or has delays set in??!!!

New system is moving along. If you listen you will hear them testing alot.

As far as p25 audio on Ch14. It's possible that a radio could have been miss programmed and set to digital. I ran across a few radios doing training and they were TXing in P25. All of our radios decode it so people don't know that it's happening.

Not to get off the topic, but for FDNY Vhf:

Do they use the same PL on the input freq as the output of 186.2? I want to start monitoring the input freq for mixer off messages.
