FDNY HT channels

I was in nyc a few weeks ago and was listining to the uhf ht and comand channels i didnt hear anything and i was just wondering if they switched over to trunked yet. Anyone have any info for me i am going back next weekend.

There's been no change the the fireground frequencies since the move from VHF to UHF. Maybe you weren't close enough to hear anything? You need to be within a few blocks of an incident for it's low-power simplex.

i was in rescue 1's quarters and i heard them doing a role call on the radio i had my scanner on and didnt hear anything what channel did they use is that the ht channels or dispatch or something else?

If you were in the firehouse you were listening to the dispatch frequency either on the rig or from a scanner at the house watch.

If not that, you were listening to the voice alarm test at 0845 hours.
