Queens FDNY Fire Radio is experiencing difficulty receiving and rebroadcasting mobile units. The requested that units transmit on the Queens backup frequency
Does anyone know what it is, or where to find the backup frequency list(s)??

It is either on the 800 trunk or give 154.400 a try

The ducting is horrible today and it seems to really affect 480mhz and above the most. Is the old VHF system still in place? In my opinion, that system worked well and was very reliable - they should have kept all mobiles on it for communicating with dispatch.

I believe there have been two DTV CH 16 channels in for most of the morning. I expect the same again on the overnight. These occupy 482-488 MHZ. One from Salisbury MD, one from near Newport News Va. Take a look.
