• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

I believe you mean to say : may we have a forum ...... (sorry , just kidding)

The RadioReference "pie" is only so large and it's "cut" pretty thin as it is.
I imagine your best bet would be to add /share your info in the WIKI.
Good luck with your pitch

I've asked for this before as well. Most replies have been directed toward the wiki, but I don't think it meets the need.

the wiki just doesn't cut it. what if the military forum is changed to read "Military & Federal Monitoring Forum" since agencies like DoD and DHS "can" fall under both?

yeah, it would give info for all fed systems that may or may not be local. I can receive from about 4 states, DC and about a dozen other cities and counties.

there needs to be something in place for systems/freqs/info that do not pertain to a specific locality. somewhere to place info on FBI CIA, DoD and such that may be useful to someone else. it would save someone the trouble from looking in each state forum for info.
