Does anyone have information on what appears to be a Federal Digital Trunked System in NYC. I have received P25 on:

407.4125 cc
409.5125
410.4125
417.4500
409.9000

These are what I have found so far.
Sounds like the BOP is a user.

Also, any ideas on these conventional freq:

408.050 pl 141.3
415.400 pl 167.9
410.450 dpl 125

Seems like much of the federal info on the web is outdated.

Thanks

It's probably the Metropolitan Detention Center Brooklyn (at 80 29th Street) or the Metropolitan Correctional Center New York (at 150 Park Row).

Unfortunately, federal info has to be figured out by the listener since the IRAC database was classified 20 years ago. One of Mr. Reagan's less popular decisions with me. :)

Anyway, 167.9 is usually the FBI tone, so maybe they are using that frequency.

I have also been able to confirm that the "Unidentified Federal Prison" is the BOP MMC New York, NY, located at 150 Park Row.

Additionally, I have determined that 417.450 is not part of this system.

407.4125 cc
408.8125
409.5125 cc
409.9000 cc
410.4125

I tried the standard Base 406, Space 12.5 and Off set 380 but it did not track the system properly. It locked on to the CC but did not display any IDs when the system was in use. I have seen a formula on the web to determine the Base, Space and Off set based upon a systems frequencies, but I am unfamiliar with how it works. If someone can determine these settings please post a reply.

BOP MCC New York P-25 TRS

After some trial and error this B,S & O appears to track properly:

Base: 407.000
Space: 12.5
Offset: 380

TG's

16
32
48
64

If someone could confirm it's correct please post a reply.

My NYC book which may be dated shows the BOP in NYC as a trunked system 400 mhz type II

408.650
409.450
410.050
possibly 406.350 and 407.150
Base frequency 406.00 offset 25.0

It's possible that could have upgraded or expanded since this was published

I hear traffic on the Metropolitan Detention Center but none on the Metropolitan Correctional Center. Are these places used for temporary holding of prisoners?

I know it's not one of the frequencies mentioned above, but I can confirm hearing a Federal Prison channel on 415.175 conventional mode. I heard this being used last summer. I'm sure they still use it now.
