Did a little monitoring of the Federal Protective Service Digital TRS recently. I was using a PRO-95, so can't actual hearing the comms, but it does identify the voice channels and talkgroup ID's. Figured out this is a 3 site system, but don't know the locations of each site. I assume one site would in the area of the Sam Nunn Atlanta Federal Center (Peachtree St & MLK Blvd). The Federal Protective Service used to be part of GSA, but last year was moved to DHS, ICE.

SITE 1
406.4125 CONTROL
407.2125 VOICE
408.5375 VOICE
410.1250 VOICE

SITE 2

406.5625 VOICE
408.5625 VOICE
410.5625 VOICE

T/G USER

16064 ?
16080 ?
16240 ?
16256 ?
16496 ?

SITE 3

410.7625 VOICE
407.3625 VOICE

T/G USER

If anyone has any more info on this system, please pass it along.

Thanks
Rod

Rod,

Well done!! :) You can discover more information about a system if you were to discriminator tap your Pro-95 and get setup to run trunker.

You might have to revisit site three just see if there is another frequency in use, usually they come in sets of four.

I concur! Well done, Rod! I will do some work on these sites with the BC296D and see if I can get a better idea of where each site is and see if simulcasting is going on. Anyone have simple DF equipment they could use on the control channels?

Rod,

Were all three sites using a base of 406.3000 and an offset of 12.5 KHz or did they differ? I have also updated the RadioReference database.

I used 406.3, 380, and 12.5 for all three sites. I'm hoping someone with Dig scanner will do some scanning of these sites and fill in the blanks for us.

Haven't seen any info for tapping the PRO-95 yet. Might be fun to do.

for site 3, never could get a forth voice channel, maybe someday it will show up.
