feed hum / low volume ( Kenton Co KY feed )

I'm running a pro 2051 with a stereo 3.5 cable plug in to ext speaker of the 2051 to the mic input of my lap top ( going to order a mono cable if needed ) , no matter what I do I have hum and low volume , made all adjustments I know how to do , still cant get the hum and volume right , I tried using my home patrol 1 and my ws1095 no change in problem , any help would be appreciated

maybe try a ground loop isolator..just a suggestion

the ground loop isolator will help with the hum..

for the volume problem..try one of these usb-audio-adapters
