Feed off line

Not sure what is going on, but more and more lately my feed has been going off line.
I made sure I don't have any automatic updates, i.e..Windows update, etc.. running.
I am using scannerCast.
Any ideas?

Turn off windows notifications as well.
Control panel - Security center - Change the way security center alerts me
