Colorado receives federal firefighter assistance funds[SIZE=-1]
Twenty-three Colorado fire departments will share $2,285,540 in funds awarded through Rounds 1-17 of the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program. AFG funds support projects that best address program priorities for 2007, which include achieving national baseline capabilities, risk-based funding, and communications and equipment interoperability. Good stuff, and well deserved. Lots of personel protective equipment and vehicles, training. Were does the radio equipment come in? Would that fall under the Operations and Safety area or simply Equipment entries? If its the later, there doesn't seem to be much allocated to radio equipment.
