I have begun listening to the FEMS audio feed and was hoping a local might be able to provide a list of what the terminology used on the radio means.

Example #1: Medical local for the Alpha chest pain
Example #2: Medical local for the Delta chest pain
Example #3: Medical local for the Delta unconscious

Any insight into this terminology would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Medical Local is the assignment type. The Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta and Echo are part of the EMD call determinant from Priority Dispatch. These are copyrighted but you can find them online. In general terms Alpha is a non-emergency BLS call, Bravo is an Emergency BLS call, Charlie is a non-emergency ALS call and Delta is an Emergency ALS call. Echo calls are high priority ALS such as cardiac arrest and choking.
