Few questions about DTRS towers

Does dispatch have a direct connection to a tower using a dedicated Telco line? A lot of towers in CO are in the mountains in sparse and sometimes kinda in remote areas. So I'm not sure if a Telco line is run to a tower sitting on a mountain.

Question number two: Do administrators get system statues reports from a Telco line or is it delivered via pager from a dedicated pager transmission on the tower its self?

Consoles don't have wireline connectivity directly to sites on the P25 system like they may have had with conventional systems - it's all routed through the IP network and controlled by the zone controller. The ZC is what allows console audio to pre-empt wireless radio audio on a talk group. There are some sites connected to the core via telco T1 but most are connected via DS1 microwave.

So this "IP network" is over microwave? MOSCAD communicates on the trucked system?

The "IP Network" can use what ever medium is available, microwave, RF, wire, fiber, etc. The same is true for MOSCAD. In many cases it uses the same medium it is monitoring, i.e. the trunked system.

I'm sure it goes over the microwave link but not within the P25 protocol.

It's pretty much all SNMP-based monitoring, folks. Either traps or polls cause the alarms to be triggered. MOSCAD does not have its' own talk group for the network management stuff (even though it did back in the SmartNet/SmartZone days for things like fire station alerting). The IP network connectivity over microwave (or whatever else) is leveraged for the SNMP communications.

Honestly, it's not terribly exciting stuff.
