Field Day is coming!
The American Radio Relay League sponsors a nationwide communications exercise using amateur radio on the last full weekend in June (the 25th and 26th this year).
The Tulsa Amateur Radio Club will be setting up at Chandler Park (65th W. Ave and 21st St.) Friday night, and will be operating from noon Saturday to noon Sunday.
Come check it out and see what ham radio is all about. Try your hand at HF sideband and talk across the country, or maybe the world. Work cross country on PSK 31 digital using only 5 watts. See the amazing Helium supported 80m end fed vertical (yes, 250+ feet of wire hanging from a cluster of helium balloons). See the Lifeflight helo Saturday afternoon. You can even talk on the radio yourself.
Everyone is welcome to stop by and visit.
