There was a 963 early this morning 5:00AM on I-10 at about milepost 16.5. I heard bits and pieces, but I was wondering if anyone had more info. There was a fully engulfed semi involved and at least one fatality. Just curious.

A semi-truck driver was killed after a collision caused his truck to catch fire Friday morning on Interstate 10 near the Arizona-California border.

Warren Love, 46, of Red Springs, North Carolina was driving a semi-truck that rear-ended a green freight truck around 5 a.m. Friday morning, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

The trucks were traveling west on I-10 near Quartzsite when the collision occurred, causing both vehicles to catch fire.

The driver and passenger of the green freight truck were not injured.
