finding control tones without the pro 106

I recently had my pro 106 stolen from my car, this scanner will display the control tone of a frequency when scanning. Is there another, cheaper scanner, that has this same feature? I am sort of a newbie, sorry if this is a silly question.

Ps. I programmed the the "power up" screen to read, "if found please call rafe greco at 347 723 7932" the phone number no longer works so I'm SOL, but then, the thief would be stupid to call or leave that screen on there. Thanks.

So this is YOUR scanner? Just kidding... I did the same thing with my welcome screen. "this radio belongs to (my name, phone number)". Most theives are not smart enough to know how to change it,

There maybe a cheaper one. Hard to say. Did you write down the serial number of it? Also did you make a police report? Have you checked any local pawn shops that may have received a police scanner? Just a few questions for thought.

Hopefully it doesn't end up on ebay. You never know.
