Findlay city tornado siren frequencies

Also anyone know what frequency findlays warning sirens alert on? several other county's have them listed in there directorys but I've found nothing for findlay... Incase anyone wonders.. I'm just curious to know what they run on. Thanks

I have nver heard of a freq for them. Heck I never even thought about looking for the freq.

I think they're set off on the trunked system.

as I drive through town when I'm at a stoplight...ect.. I look at the boxes and the older ones had a stubby ant.. looked like a 4'' UHF. But now they have crazy lookin ones since they installed the newer sirens.. They look like they would be HF or VHF.. If they ran on 800 I would assume that they would have the short stubby ones like the ones on the cruisers. But if they do activate them via the TRS... the next step would be to figure out what ID the station transmits.

I would find it hard to believe they put a full trunked reciever into a tornado siren... I'd have to imagine most sirens sit on a dedicated freq.

thinkin so myself, Toledo activates on 72.500mhz in CSQ mode.. and Toledo runs an 800mhz system. not saying that would dictate weither or not findlay's are activated via the TRS though.

piqua fire department has a dtmf tones for the tornado sires on the miami county trs. 04-032.

I'm thinking that I may have to look into the TRS... My scanner when in open mode will broadcast any talkgroup ID on our system. I checked through the FCC's database and couldent find any low frequency listings in our area, As far as findlay's city is concirned. And all the ones that are listed as public safety or law enforcement I know what they are used for.
