Findlay MARCS....and no I'm not talking about PD..

Does anyone know if when PD switches on May 1 if Fire and other Findlay Public Services will be making the switch that day?

The switch over is happening at 11am today, they said ALL Findlay City services.

So far Findlay PD is not encrypted, we will see how long that lasts...

Right now they're testing FD and PD Portables radios on TG 23408


Also Getting new voice Frequencies from this as well from
the Findlay MARCS site.

853.6875 and 852.1625

I've been seeing Allen County coming off the Findlay site ever site the Findlay site went live (The Findlay site transmits all the way to Lima) .

I go to lima from time to time and when findlay went live in 2009 i was getting them down ther but it was just the SO. Now i will be able to listen to more then the SO now...

Findlay PD on the Old System has just made the announcement that it was going off the air forever @ 18:35:51. I am no longer getting signal from the old Findlay City Services Control Freq as well after this.

Well you see in the database here for Trunk system listings, in the third column from the left. It is labeled "Mode",
which is represented by the following indicators:

A for Analog, D for Digital, and E for Encrypted.

Since MARCS is an analog system using Digital Voice you will
either see a D or an E in that column. Since it has been reported
that Findlay Police will run complete encryption I merely asked the
membership to please note whether it should be a D or an E in
that column for any talkgroups being submitted in use by the
Findlay Police.

Otherwise, Yes MARCS is 100% digital, I apologize for creating any confusion on your part. I hope that clears things up for you.
