Findlay TRS

According to a friend of mine who works for Motorola, he was telling me a couple of months ago that the Findlay TRS, will be going digital in the next 2-3 years. Interestingly enough, their radio license has been modified to include the "20K0F9W" emission mode. I am wondering if anyone has heard more concrete information on their plans to migrate to digital mode?

Do they plan on being part of MARCS, when they switchover to 9600 baud in the future, or do they plan on keeping their own independent system?

My sources tell me yes. Whether or not it will be their own independant system or part of MARCS has yet to be determined. I believe they are gearing more towards MARCS though. I also think it will happen sooner than 2-3 years. Sheriff's office is transitioning into the MARCS currently. Some deputies are carrying MARCS portables.
