I saw the smoke from Woods Crosslast night and didn't think about firing up a scanner. I did not notice any aircraft flying in the area at that time. According to this mornings Trib, all they are doing at the moment, is watching it. No active fighting of the fire. I would suggest some of the common Air-Air freqs, as well as Unicom's. I Have 122.750, 122.800, 122.950, 123.025, 123.050, 123.450, as a starting point. Also keep an eye on the DNR talkgroups on UCAN, 17792, 17824, 17952, 18016, and 18048.
Good Luck.

My understanding is this is NOT on Antelope Island. It is on the Stansbury range west of there. I don't know what frequencies are being used.

The fire they were working on last night started in Skull Valley just off the reservation. I first heard a guy using a callsign of 11H611, which does not even show as a prefix on the list for the state(See link), call it in to Tooele Dispatch, say around 1500hrs. There was some confusion as to who's land it was on and there was some phone coordination with the tribe to access the fire off thier property. When this 11H guy got on site he estimated it to be about 80-100 acres burning, that was about 1600hrs. Was kind of quite for about an hour then some Tooele County 6H units came on the air that they were enroute and received instruction on how to get to the fire. About the last thing I monitered was them talking about getting some food sent out to them because it was going to be a long night.

TGID's:
40000 Tooele County Dispatch (RR Database has different name)
40128 Tooele Fire Ch1 (RR Database listed as Tooele North Fire)
40160 Tooele Fire Ch2 (Not listed in RR Database have not sent it in yet)
40192 Tooele Fire Ch3 (Not listed in RR Database have not sent it in yet)

The last 2 I got turned on to by the Unitrunker data posted lately. Started looking at the spacing etc. programed them in as just numbers, sure enough they use them.

Thanks Guys,

I saw it on the way home from work at 2 AM and it looked like it was on antelope but later that day I noticed it was on the otherside of the lake so I don't know really what I saw I guess.

Anyway thanks for the freq's
