Does anyone know of a fire buff/radio group that covers the Hunterdon area?

Thanks.

try metro fire radio <mfr>. do a google search for them. with the advent of paging group's,cell phone's and direct connect type communication's, buff radio is dying a slow death. not dead yet though. the internet also contributed to this.

Hunterdon County area Buff Group

There are no Buff Groups that you can hit from Hunterdon County using either a Portable or Mobile radio, nor has there been. BNN does a great job covering this area, as well as Warren County, if you want to just have one-way communications.

Many people through the years have talked about about starting a buff group on a community repeater, the problem has always been that M&W is the only one around with a site, and theirs is UHF, where historically Fire was VHF-Low and EMS was VHF-High, so no-one had a UHF radio... Now, with the slow migration of units going over to UHF with the County simulcast perhaps there might be a glimmer of hope, albeit slight.

But, to answer your question, perhaps MFR covers it from up north, but you can't transmit nor can you receive them from Hunterdon County.
