Are there any fire departments in NE Ohio still using the 33. Mhz. frequencies for fire dispatch? Stark county's 33.82 has long gone silent and I don't hear anything on Summit County 33.86 either. Just wondering if anyone is still using low band or has everyone vacated the low band fire channels for the higher frequencies.

Many thanks, Rich

Carroll Co still dispatches on low-band (as well as on UHF I believe). Their low band is 33.94. That's not quite "northeast" though.

Thanks MIke, I am just now planning how I want to program a Motorola Maxtrac 300 for 10 meter FM. The radio is a 32 channel unit and I wanted to put some 33 Mhz. fire radio channels in there to fill it up and to have something to listen to when 10 meters is dead! I know there use to be some Western PA Fire dispatch on 33.Mhz., that I could hear sometimes here in Canton. I'll program in 33.94 as you noted.
I appreciate your response.

Take care, Rich (originally from Steubenville, Ohio)
