Three people are dead following an early morning house fire. The flames broke out in the home in the 17800 block of Muncaster Road in the Derwood section of Montgomery County. Among the dead are a 6-year-old girl, an elderly woman, and the woman's daughter. A 13-year-old boy who was also in the home is hospitalized. Investigators say he tried to get the others out, but could not. So he ran next door and called 911.
