Fire in Marin Co, 19 Jun (Mon)?

About 4:30 I heard our local air attack (230) coming back from a fire in Marin. What freq would they have been using? I like to keep tabs on what is going on especially with aircraft. I was wondering if they are using the high band freq that is in my state-programmed radio yet.

Novato Fire

Novato had a small (don't have the acreage- probably less than 5 acres, but surrounded by homes) fire this afternoon. All LRA- (Local Responsibility Area). They were working on MERA Novato D5, which would, if needed, been patched to CDF 2 Tone 7, and White 2 as a Tactical.

As you are probably aware, MERA is the trunked digital system everyone in Marin is switching over to.

Yes I am vaguely aware of that trunked system. So they patch it over to CDF 2 huh? I was also wondering if they were using the 151.04 yet.

Not Likely this year

The last MERA issues aren't going to clear up until late this year, so don't expect them to be using the 154 freqs until next fire season.
