Salem and Smithburg VFDs on scene with working fire at Nicholson's Salvage Yard, near Salem. Command 9 just requested additional tankers from McClellan District and West Union VFD.

My son knows the owner of that Salvage Yard,just showed him this thread,any updates(My wife is from near Salem and my son lived with her mother working up there for awhile)

He must have had a flammable source nearby to cause that fire to start,pays to check before doing any welding/torch cutting,lucky that fire wasn't any worse than it was!
