Fire Marshall

Right now I have 3 Fire Marshll heading some place have not figured it out yet. They are using the state wide TG right now. All Going some place up in north central nebraska. Asking about HY 7 up to Ainsworth. All have been talking to State EOC here in Lincoln. Have heard 8723, 8603, and 8605 .
Any one know any thing ??

I was hearing this too on talkgroup 3060 which they identified as "Statewide Event 1". They were talking about going to Niobrara. Radio traffic was monitored on the Wolbach site.

One fire is around Johnstown on HY 20.
The other fire is around Merriman.
One FM 40 Miles south of Valentine can see the tower of smoke over at Johnstown.
IC will be out on the fire ground.
Listen on Madison tower here in Lincoln.

EOC say guard helicopter is leaving Lincoln to night be in Ainsworth tonight.
Should be ready first thing in the morning.

I heard 2 fire marshals on the District C talk group off the Omaha site earlier. One of said that "communications up there suck." Never did hear where they were going.

They now have a power outage and have lost a radio tower not sure which one. NPPD is working on it.
Power poles burned off south of Norden down in the Niobrara area.

Norden tower is the one down. Tower is ok just lost the power to it. It does not have a back up gen. Hope to have power to some time to night.

Norden tower now back up per Fire Marshall report to Troop B Dispatch 1.

Helicopter is just leaveing on a recon flight.

Couple of back burns worked during the night.

South west corner blowing up now with south winds.

Asking EOC if they can get more air support.

The Gov is going out to check out the fire. Leaving Lincoln around 10 .
Going to Ainsworth air port to start with.

Recon flight is done.
Helicopter is fueling up and getting the bucket read to go.
Have a forward refueling site and dip sit read to go.
Helicopter is going to work the south east corner of the fire.
Heavy air tanker is on the way.

Lead plane is in the area now for the large bomber.

New lat long for drop from air tanker.
Air tanker in 25 to 30 minutes.

Air tanker made drop. Tanker headed back to Rapid City.
So far the drop looks good. They are going to check out the coverage.

NSP has 2 Fixed wing aircraft for spotting and recon.
2 Heavy Guard fire trucks out of Norfolk.
