How come I am hearing so many calls about kids locked in cars? Also I am hearing a lot of MO calls now then ever too, why? If you do not want to tell me or can't then this is ok with me.

Well kids get locked in cars year-round, but during summer, it's a serious deal since they can die of excessive heat. Thats when you need the fire department.

In the summer, the MO's come out of the woodwork. And, more people are out and about, so you get more calls. Kids locked in cars are a priority, as mentioned above, in the summertime. There is no easy answer for that, other than the fact that people are stupid. :roll:

I agree, my stepbrother [retired county police officer [I hate the cop word] tells me if I am around someone who is MO to leave ASAP & where I live we have some & when you live in a building that is for handicap [like me], there is bound to be some MO's & I kinf of hate how the police [may be better now] would talk about a building with handicap people in it. 'oh, you mean that MO place?'. Now the police are up on the 800 & 1 officer @ the ECC or now PUBLIC SAFETY COMMUNITION CENTER told me that the police are not on the new scanner. I kind of like hearing them, but some people do crimes by hearing them too. I did 1 time when the police were on VHF [595-912] & I heard this one woman officer talking about MO place this & thast & that place is so MO that I would not go to it. So I had called [ECC then] & I was told I can report officers who mis use the radio, but cannot do this anymore. I had fun when they were on VHF, but now I guess everything they do is recorded.
