Since I'm beginning to see questions about fire tone out information, I think it's an appropriate time to mention that most all of the information we had in the database has been moved to the collaboration section of our wiki.

To get to that, simply float your mouse over Wiki in the top blue toolbar under the Scanner Master ad, then select Collaboration Select the desired state from our list.

There are a couple of other resources to check if we don't have them;

  • NF2G's website has this information for the NY area
  • For New England residents, the Scan New England wiki is the place to check. Each state is linked as a 'portal', and has a link on that state's collaboration page

If there are other websites that have this information for other areas, please don't be afraid to add them to that state's page if we don't already have the link. Unfortunately it seems that the New England pager tone project website is gone.

If all else fails then you will need to do the digging yourself. Our DMA FAQ (also available from the wiki pulldown under 'FAQs') has links to software that will allow you to measure them yourself. No mods to your scanner, apart from a clean connection from your scanner to the PC, are required - and we also have a wiki article on that, if you find you need some help there.

It seems the New England pager tone project webpage is back - perhaps just a website glitch or something. That's another source of FTO information that shouldn't be overlooked, if you are interested in that area 73 Mike
