BCD436HP/BCD536HP: Fire tone out question

I have this scanner set up for fire tone out.

It works fine when the tones go off, but the audio is cut off, so I miss the dispatch.

Is this normal, or do I have a setting off?

For others searching, you can set the DELAY time you monitor the frequency from 0 seconds to Infinite.
